Remembering people who have died is an important part of bereavement. We recognise that remembering matters and offer a number of opportunities to do this. One of these opportunities is our Thanksgiving and Memorial Service, which we run every three months for the relatives of those who died under our care the previous year.
Until March 2020, these services were held at St Christopher’s and family and friends of those who died were welcomed to the hospice to remember together. Recently, these services have been held on Zoom with the invitation to join them remotely from home. Even though we are not physically able to be together, everyone who joins the service is part of an online community, with a shared experience and a shared purpose.
Here is a recording of our most recent Thanksgiving and Memorial Service, held on Sunday 24 January, for anyone who wasn’t able to join us on the day.
