St Christopher’s Hospice has been informed that NRS Healthcare, a supplier of some of our community issued equipment, has experienced a cyber security attack resulting in a breach of personal data such as names, addresses, phone numbers, and details of equipment issued.
We are collaborating with NRS Healthcare to assess the scope of the breach and will reach out directly to affected individuals if their information has been compromised.
The Information Commissioner’s Office has been informed and we will work with them on steps to be taken.
Keeping safe
At this time, it is unclear what personal data may have been compromised in this incident.
We are advising people to exercise caution, when:
- opening emails and avoid clicking on any links or documents unless you are certain they are from a legitimate source and,
- be particularly wary of text messages, phone calls, and home visits, especially from unexpected sources.
NRS have engaged cybersecurity experts to investigate this incident and determine what information may have been compromised. Several measures have already been implemented to ensure the safety of their computer systems.
If you have any concerns you can contact info@stchristophers.org.uk and include the subject line NRS. Alternatively, you can call 020 8768 4699 to speak to our Information Governance and Data Protection Manager, Dave Tustin.
