Diane Roberts talks about how the Learning Hub will benefit others who have become carers like her

One of our Bereavement Volunteers, Diane Roberts, spoke to us about her experience of caring for her mum, and how the Learning Hub will benefit others ‘who have become carers like me’.

“Lots of people want to play their part in looking after someone they love who is at the end of life, but it can be daunting and you don’t always have the confidence. The Hub will have beds and practical equipment where you can learn simple things like how to wash someone.

Learning from the expertise of the hospice means carers like me will feel more confident and able to cope, and ultimately, their loved ones, like my mum, will receive better care.”
