Coming to St Christopher’s
Supporting you at home
Most people with a life limiting illness want to stay living in their own homes.
Our community palliative care services are here to help you do that.
Our services
We will do all we can to support you through everything from pain management and strength building, to getting creative through the arts or helping you work out your financial and housing concerns.
Resources and Information
Breathlessness
Our ‘managing breathlessness’ resources will provide you with practical advice and techniques to help you manage your breathlessness.
Exercise
We have produced a set of four videos designed to help people through exercise.
Booklets and leaflets
We have a selection of booklets, leaflets and easy reads for a wide range of topics.
Bereavement support
Bereavement support for adults
Support for children and young people
We understand how difficult it can be to find a way to explain what has happened to children. We’re here to support them, and you, through our Candle Child Bereavement Service.
Peer support
St Christopher’s offer peer support through drop in Bereavement Help Point sessions at St Christopher’s and in the community as well as Virtual Bereavement Help Point sessions.
Community support
Community Support Hub
We provide supportive forums for people to share that help us understand more about death, dying and loss.
Our activities focus on people coming together to listen to each other in a supportive, friendly and gentle environment.
Community events
Our Compassionate Chats pair informal end of life conversation with interactive games and art activities in venues across Croydon
