The regular healthy walk has now restarted. So while many of us have kept walking during lockdown – close to home and with members of our household – we’ve missed the company and companionship that walking with a group provides.
The walks take place every Thursday, setting off at 1.30pm from the St Christopher’s front entrance. We walk for just under an hour, through the beautiful Crystal Palace Park, and walking routes are tailored to the energies and abilities of all participants.
Everyone is welcome to join us – volunteers, staff, friends, service users, relatives, local residents, and the walks are free
You can take part whether or not you have walked with us before, and there is need to book.
Walks are risk assessed to ensure they follow Covid guidelines. This includes avoiding the busiest areas, and walking in small groups, with people who have a similar walking pace.
Toilets are available at the start and finish of the walk.
You will need to register with Lewisham Healthy Walks, which you can do online or by completing a form when you arrive for your first walk. Register online: https://www.walkingforhealth.org.uk/walkfinder/lewisham-healthy-walks
