Would you like the opportunity to develop your skills within an organisation that values their staff and offers a comprehensive wellbeing programme? Then this role may be for you.
We are looking for compassionate nurses to join us and have opportunities across all our clinical teams. Whether you’re a registered nurse with experience in end of life care or a nurse who would like to develop your career in palliative care, we might just have the opportunity for you.
St Christopher’s Hospice was founded in 1967 by Dame Cicely Saunders and formed part of the modern hospice movement. Proudly celebrating over 50 years and with a turnover of over £20 million, we provide invaluable care and support to over 7,500 people across the five London Boroughs of Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark.
Your new role
You will be provided with a tailored training and development programme to enable you to become a Clinical Nurse Specialist in community palliative care, while working alongside the multi-disciplinary team offering patients and families the skills of a dedicated palliative care service, which encompasses symptom control, social, emotional and spiritual care. In addition, you will offer advice, support and education to the primary health care team and hospital staff where appropriate, as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

You will be a compassionate nurse with at least two years’ experience working at Band 5 RN level in any clinical setting. You will possess excellent oral and written communication skills
with the ability to work efficiently in a disciplinary team. Having proven experience in palliative care/oncology with relevant qualifications would be a huge bonus, however this is not essential.

- Access to excellent training and development opportunities
- A number of health and wellbeing schemes
- A competitive contributory pension scheme and life assurance scheme with generous beneficiary plan
