Hours: Full Time - 37.5 hours per week

St Christopher’s Hospice was founded in 1967 by Dame Cicely Saunders and formed part of the modern hospice movement. Proudly celebrating over 50 years and with a turnover of over £20 million, we provide invaluable care and support to over 7,500 people across the five London Boroughs of Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark.
Your new role
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will offer the patients and families your skills in symptom control, social, emotional and spiritual care, in addition to providing advice, support and education to the primary health care team and hospital staff where appropriate, as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Please note that you will be required to contribute to the out-of-hours shift pattern with the community CNS teams. These shifts are as follows and are covered 7 days a week: -
09.00 - 17.00 core hours
10.00 - 18.00
11.00 - 19.00
13.00 - 21.00
To succeed in this role
You will be a compassionate nurse with proven experience in palliative care/oncology with relevant qualifications and experience of working at Band 6/equivalent or above. You will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a disciplinary team and manage stressful situations.
