• Up to two days for each recruitment campaign including preparation

End of Life Companion volunteer

• Across boroughs of Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark
• Flexible between 9AM and 5PM (Maximum will be a four-hour shift once or twice a week)

Carers Champion

Carers champions build short-term meaningful relationships with unpaid carers, helping them to feel supported and valued.

• Remote - Telephone
• Flexible around your availability and that of the unpaid carer but usually an hour a week
• Weekly phone call to support an unpaid carer who is struggling to care for a loved one with a life-limiting illness

Store Volunteer

Become a store volunteer and have fun whilst learning new skills and making a difference

• In one of our 23 high street stores
• Flexible and negotiable time commitment: Between 3-7 hours a shift
• Most stores are open seven days a week, various shifts available

Events Volunteer

Can you volunteer your time to help ensure the success of our fundraising events?

• In the community, based in one of the five boroughs we cover (Croydon, Bromley, Lambeth, Lewisham, or Southwark)
• Throughout the year, usually on weekends

Ambassador Volunteer

If you’re interested in volunteering at St Christophers but at this time unsure of how or in which role, you can register your interest and we’ll keep in touch via a regular volunteer newsletter and also advise when new roles are being recruited for.

Compassionate Neighbours in South East London

Compassionate Neighbours are a network of people who offer their time, companionship and support to people living in their local area.

• Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, Croydon and Bromley
• Weekly
• 1 hour per week

Bereavement Buddy

• In the community, linked with a bereaved person/family who lives within one of St Christopher’s catchment areas (Bromley, Lewisham, Lambeth, Southwark, Croydon) - particularly seeking new volunteers in Croydon
• 1-2 hours a week, to support a bereaved person from a short time prior to the person’s expected death, to up to 4 months after the death
